During our sessions, children will be encouraged to talk through play. This can be with the use of games, toys and activities to help them feel relaxed (this will be tailored depend on the age of the child). Talking through this type of interaction helps us to build up trust in comfortable surroundings to make things feel easy and natural. They can talk freely about concerns such as anxiety, low self-esteem, past events and any other big life changes.

Whilst counselling face-to-face is always preferable and online may not feel like the ideal solution for everyone, during the pandemic it has proven to be very successful. It has allowed us to reach people all over the country who were seeking help.
As you may already be aware, whilst GPs and NHS services can be invaluable they come with extremely long waiting lists; this is where we can help. All we ask is that the you have a quiet room where you wont be disturbed.
Ideally counselling will take place face-to-face at your designated counsellors location. however where this is not possible online sessions can be arranged.
Your sessions will start with an initial chat to discuss your needs and arrange a suitable time for your counselling to take place.
If counselling is taking place online, your documents will be emailed to you and should be completed and returned before your first session begins.
Reflective supervision is a professional approach that involves regular reflection between a supervisor and teacher/support staff.
